I've been working on my portfolio lately - my actual portfolio, that is, not the "portfolio" of random images I've uploaded here or at my Model Mayhem page. After investing in a nice Pina Zangaro Machina anodized aluminum binder (pzdirect.com rocks, btw), I decided it was time to upgrade the pictures inside, too.

I've managed to destroy two Canon 50mm lenses in the past 12 months. It's not that I don't like those particular lenses; on the contrary, I love Canon's "nifty fifty," which is why there's usually one on my camera whenever I bump into something while I'm working. It happens more often than I care to admit.

Current Mood: creative

I had a small Agfa camera when I was growing up. I'm not sure where it came from, but I can't remember a time when I wasn't pestering my parents for more film. The camera was difficult to load and wind, but that didn't stop me from trying to document my childhood. I loved taking pictures – the fact that they were out-of-focus, over- or under-exposed, and/or poorly composed (due to the camera's goofy viewfinder and my immature aesthetic) didn't bother me at all.
